Since you've decided to have a look at this page, you would probably like to join our organization. On this page, we'll try to answer all questions you might have. If you have doubts about anything, don't hesitate to contact us.

Who can become a member of the US SPS?

To become an official member of the US SPS, you need to be a student of the University of Silesia. We imagine that it might not be the case if you're reading this page. Fortunately, nothing is lost! We're an open organization and as far as our activities are concerned, all help is welcome. If only you find Physics fascinating and like to do various strange and crazy things, you can be sure you'll feel good among us ;)

If you still aren't sure if the US SPS is right for you, feel free to visit us in our headquarters or e-mail any of our members.

How do I join?

To officially become a member of the US SPS, you need to first fill out our member registration form and then contact our Financial Affairs Officer to pay the membership fee. If for any reason it is impossible for you to reach the Financial Affairs Officer, you can contact any other SPS officer.

What do I get?

Many new friends, a chance to participate in cool projects, a chance to take part in the tea-drinking ritual with other US SPS members and some new duties. All members can also get:

  • an account on our server (Linux, access via ssh, homepage at http://knf.us.edu.pl/~login/)
  • an e-mail account in the university domain (us.edu.pl) and/or an e-mail account on our server (in the knf.us.edu.pl domain)

If you ask us nicely, we'll also be glad to help you with any problems you might have with Linux systems.
